FAQ
How long will it take to get our photos back?
No longer than 3-4 weeks. Though I aim for less than that whenever possible.
what if we don't want to (or can't do) the engagement session?
Engagement sessions are offered complimentary with every 6+ hour wedding booking simply because I think it is enormously advantageous for us to work together, and get to know each other, before the biggest and most important day of your life. As such, there is no 'trade in' value (via discount, or additional wedding day coverage) if you choose not to do (or simply are unable to do) your engagement session.
It's sort of how at some Mexican restaurants you get complimentary chips and salsa with your meal. The chips and salsa are meant to wet your appetite and make you enjoy the experience all the more. You don't, however, get money taken off your bill if you choose to skip the chips and salsa.
Do the engagement session. Trust me on this.

how do we book?
The first step is reaching out to me to see if I am available, and to chat a bit about what you have planned. If I am free and it feels like a good fit, we will arrange to meet in person or over the phone. After that, the next step would be paying a non-refundable deposit to hold your wedding date, and signing your wedding agreement. Many people choose to pay this via e-transfer. With both of those things accomplished your wedding date is booked!
how many photos will we receive?
Wanderlust guarantees no less than 60 edited images for every hour that we shoot. So, 360+ for a 6 hour day... 480+ for an 8 hour day, etc.
What about Prints?
From prints of all sizes, to archival canvases, to gorgeous albums--- I am thrilled to offer clients professional printing directly & easily from their galleries.
Clients may also download their files and make prints themselves with printing companies of their choosing. Just be aware that quality will vary significantly, and I cannot be held responsible for quality of prints that are made anywhere outside of my own professional company via client galleries.

How would you describe your style?
Nostalgic, dreamy, & romantic with a touch of grit. I want my images to look like a happy memory feels.
do you work with a second shooter?
Whenever possible, yes! Having that additional professional photographer on the ground means that more of your wedding day's important moments get the coverage they deserve. My second shooters give me their memory cards at the end of the day, and I do all of the editing.
WHat if we have to cancel or reschedule?
Sometimes unexpected things happen (Helloooo, Covid?) and wedding plans change drastically or are cancelled altogether. Clients always have my utmost sympathy in these difficult situations. Because I am attempting to run a successful business and also feed & clothe my children, I must be firm about my nonrefundable deposit policy. It simply is not financially feasible for me to make exceptions. With that said, I am happy to offer clients the option of a one-time 'date transfer'. For a fee of $300+gst, clients can transfer their booking & deposit over to a new date. Transfers must be done with a minimum 2+ months notice, and the new date must be within 12 months of the original booking.
How many hours of coverage do i need?
8 hours is my most commonly booked package. It's the perfect amount of time for getting ready, the ceremony, a couple hours of portraits, reception, and the first few songs on the dance floor. If your itinerary is planned efficiently
(something I am happy to help with!) 8 hours can be the perfect amount to capture all the day's key moments.
10 hours is recommended for those who have really big weddings (200+ guests &/or XL wedding parties), want 2+ hours of portraits, &/or have some driving between locations. It typically covers plenty of getting photos, right on through to the first hour or two of the dance floor.
6 hours is short & sweet. Perfect for intimate weddings w/ small wedding parties (max 6 people, including the wedding couple). It can cover the ceremony, portraits, and the first bit of the reception covered. Strictly no getting ready photos are possible with 6 hours of coverage.

Why should we hire you?
Look. I have been doing this 14 years. In that time I have photographed hundreds of weddings. That means if anyone is going to be able to anticipate & be ready for key photographic moments on your big day, it's this lady. I am a well oiled machine and I know my shit. I have also refined my editing process so well that most clients have their completed gallery in hand before the 3-4 works that my contract guarantees (and just so you know, industry standard is 8-12 weeks). I respond to emails extremely promptly, and have extremely good communication skills. I am creative and passionate and not afraid to look like a crazy person in my pursuit of creating something awesome. I work well under pressure, and I.will.hustle.for.you. But above all-- you should hire me because nothing is more important to me than acting with integrity and kindness and I will always, always, always treat you in the exact same way that I would like to be treated myself.
