This wedding season has been pretty amazing, you guys. These Kootenay brides. These Kootenay venues. This Kootenay landscape. This Kootenay weather.... It's been such a great year for me, and Tyler & Raycene's rustic-glam riverside wedding was the icing on the cake.
With amazing vision and hard work, Tyler and Raycene took what is usually a pretty standard issue outdoor picnic area and transformed it into the stuff that wedding venue dreams are made of. Their glamorous, yet still rustic & cozy touches, permeated every corner of the Birchbank Picnic Grounds in a way that I couldn't have ever possibly imagined! No detail was over looked from the warm guestbook & welcome table- adorned with the wedding photos of their beloved grandparents- to the rustic centre pieces, and absolutely precious cake. Their nearly 200 guests sat amid countless strings of twinkling white lights, as they toasted the newly wed couple and celebrated their love. While I was off with wedding party snapping photos, guests were treated to a cocktail hour of the century! With the bar wide open, folks were invited to partake in lawn games (bocce & corn hole, anyone?) & so much laughter. Joining me at Tyler and Raycene's wedding was a small entourage of some of my most talented photographer friends. I am so grateful to Lexy Parks Photography, By Mari Photography, and Abbie Rose for lending their talent, time, and love to this event. I don't usually travel with a crew of +3.. but somehow the stars aligned just right and our creative forces were able to collide.. & the results? Well, I think the results are pretty darn awesome. But I'll let you be the judge of that. Enjoy! |
