When clients ask me about location suggestions for their photo shoots, I love to offer up the usual crowd-pleasing options, and then throw in one wild card idea. Something like, "This beautiful scenic viewpoint, this gorgeous beach, that incredible forest, or the back alley behind the mall where all the rusty dumpsters are."
It goes without say that 9.99 times out of 10, clients completely disgregard my wild-card suggestions and opt instead for the gorgeous views, beaches, and forest (can you blame them?) But every so often I have a client who is like, "YOLO!!!" and we get to live life a little dangerously and create something a bit dirty and edgy feeling.
Paige and Todd were those couples. Since their wedding will be taking place in a gorgeous mountain valley, they opted to go a totally different route with their engagement session. We met in downtown Trail and explored the town's dingy back alleys together. All the great, textured walls made the Vancouver city girl in me so happy! And only one homeless-looking person tried to steal our bags when we weren't looking! So I consider it a total win.
Thanks for being up for something a little off-the-beaten path, you guys! I can't wait for your big day.
