When Melisa suggested Tulip Creek Falls as the location for her and fiancé Brian's engagement session I didn't know what to expect. I had never been there, much less in the winter time. But I am always up for an adventure--- especially when that adventure includes hanging out with some new client-friends. Suffice it to say, the falls did not disappoint!
The short hike to the waterfall itself was snowed over and absolutely stunning. We couldn't see the trail at all, but that didn't stop us! In we trekked-- over logs, slippery rocks, and under fallen trees. Within 15 short minutes the frozen waterfall was towering in front of us. It was a sight to behold as snow blew from the surrounding rock face, shrouding us in a atmospheric cloud of swirling snow flakes. The best part was chatting with these two about their up coming wedding (May 26th! Fairmont Hot Springs!), laughing at their fabulous dog's silly antics, and generally getting to know them. I have long said that I have the best clients, and Melisa and Brian are no exception! Thanks for taking me on such a great adventure. I can't wait to see you again in just 5 months! |
