Katie and Tyler. Just a short, sweet, Sunday afternoon wedding. But one of my favourite weddings to date.
Katie and Tyler got married at Gibson Lake in the stunning Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park in British Columbia. The 1hr drive up a very pot-holed forest service road to the lake was not for the faint of heart... but once you arrived, you could see why this adventurous couple chose this spot for the very special day. This is British Columbia at it's finest. Wow!
In front of just 15 of their nearest and dearest, the couple exchanged beautiful handwritten vows. Afterwards guests were invited to take a pebble, infuse it with their well-wishes for the couple, and throw the pebble into the alpine lake. We all stood back in rapt silence while we listened to the splashes, and watched the ripples subside. It was such a beautiful moment.
Afterwards guests were invited to Pitchfork Eatery's (Nelson, BC) cozy outdoor patio to enjoy appetizers and a delicious meal as the sunset. The perfect ending to a perfect day.
