 I received an email from Jennifer in JANUARY of this year regarding her upcoming family trip to Nelson, BC. Ever the planner, she wanted to book a lake-side family photo session while in my beautiful corner of the country. It is certainly a bit unusual to receive a Family Session booking six months in advance, but I was stoked to work with them and eagerly wrote 'July 2nd. Jennifer Fam Session. Nelson.' into my calendar. As July 2nd approached, I exchanged a few phone calls and emails with Jennifer as plans for their session evolved and took shape. By the time I finally met her & her family in the day-use parking lot at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park, I felt like I was meeting a familiar friend. This session was such a joy! Jennifer and Christie are so in love, and make such a wonderful team. Their lovely boys were bright, engaging, and oh-so-sweet. I fell in love with the 4 of them immediately and did not want this session to end. This session was actually a 2 parter. We did the first half at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park, and then returned to their incredible Loft Air B&B for an 'in home' style session afterwards. I am sharing just the Kokanee Creek portion of the shoot now. You'll have to stay tuned for the 2nd half.
