Brittany and Spencer {Castlegar Engagement Photography}

When we were planning Brittany and Spencer's engagement session, Brittany mentioned several times how she wanted snow, and she wanted a location with a view. I didn't blame her! The Kootenays are beautiful all year round, especially when blanketed in snow. 

Castlegar's 'Dove Hill' viewpoint was my immediate thought. I knew that it would be a bit of a trek up (20 minutes of a rather steep, switch-back trail) but the views from the top on a clear day would be unparalleled. So! Dove Hill it was. And we all crossed our fingers for clear skies. 

I'm happy to report that the weather Gods heard our prayers, and the day of their hiking engagement session was sunny and clear. The view from the top of Dove Hill, as usual, did not disapoint! It was so much fun making the trek up with these two, as it gave us plenty of time to chat and get to know each other (I found out that Spencer and I have a mutual love for Ireland!) and make some memories.

As with every engagement session I do, I am left feeling more excited than ever for these two lovely human being's big day this summer! Thanks for being up for a bit of adventure with this session, you guys!
