I have been eagerly awaiting this little love-bug's arrival since her gorgeous mama told me that she was pregnant last summer. Welcome Baby Brooke!
Being invited into my client's homes and entrusted to capture their live's most significant milestones is always an honour. But it's doubly-so when the client is a friend & fellow photographer.
Little Brooke is 8 lbs of pure sweetness and, as you can tell from the following images, is adored by her parents and incredible big sister, Blaire. The baby fever was strong today, folks!!
Despite Brooke being absolutely the sweetest little thing that I have ever laid eyes on, her Big Sister Blaire still managed steal the show with her incredible gymnastics, reading, and posing skills. There's no doubt that she is the well-practiced daughter of a photographer and is perfectly at home in front of a camera. If only every 3 year old took direction like she does!
I am so stoked for the photo shoots to come with this clan (we already have something amazing planned for Mother's Day!) and wish them a life time of love and joy with their new bundle.
Laura and Bodie are getting married this summer in Bodie's hometown of Rossland, BC. They currently live in Vancouver, where Laura grew up and like many of my other 2018 couples, are planning their Kootenay weddings from afar. When it came time to plan their engagement session, Laura asked me if I had any ideas for a location. Cheekily I asked if they would be up for a hike up a mountain, to an amazing view point, "Wear appropriate footwear," I warned, "It will probably be muddy."
By some miracle they actually agreed, and a few short weeks later we found ourselves here, at the top of Trail's 'Miral Heights Loop'. The trail was muddy, and snowier (still!) than I had expected, but Laura and Bodie took it in stride. The views from the top were incredible as always, and it was such a treat to spend a couple hours getting to know these two wonderful people.
