When Rachel first contacted me about shooting her Kelowna Harvest Golf Club wedding, I was struck immediately by her warmth. I remember getting off the phone with her that evening and thinking to myself, "Well, she was just lovely!"
My first impression was certainly not wrong! Despite living 700km away from me, I was still able to meet with Rachel and David in early May for an engagement/family session. As with all my wedding clients, whenever possible I try to set up a complimentary engagement session so that we can get to know each other before the big day. Rachel, David, and their young son were a pleasure to work with and I found myself walking away from their engagement session, counting down the days until the main event!
We met in downtown Kelowna where I snapped a few 'getting ready' photos of the couple at their hotel. We all then moved onto the gorgeous Harvest Golf Club for the ceremony & reception. Rachel was absolutely radiant in her lace gown, and I am still amazed that she didn't let being 8 months pregnant slow her down for a second! She is truly an inspiring woman.
Guests were treated to an amazing open bar, and some of the most varied and delicious food that I have ever had the pleasure of stuffing my face with... Errr, I mean, photographing. Rachel and David know how to treat their guests! It was a fantastic day celebrating the love of an even more fantastic, growing family, and I am honoured to have been a part of it.
