Steve & Rumiko officially exchanged vows a few months ago in a quick court-house wedding, but wanted to set aside some special time to properly celebrate with family and friends. They wisely selected Shaughnessy Restaurant in Vancouver's beautiful Vandusen Gardens to host the event. The light and airy dining room was the perfect backdrop for the relaxed celebration with just their dearest friends and family, who flew in from New York, California, and even Japan & China to celebrate. My amazing second shooter Shauna (of Shauna Danielle Photography) assisted me on this event, and as always, it was a pleasure working with her.
*sigh* Is there any light like the light in the early fall, when everything is golden and absolutely glows?
When the E* family approached me about doing a Family Mini Session for them this fall, I was all about it. I've worked with this lovely family before, and they are an absolute dream! The kids are so easy and natural, and Mom and Dad are just the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet. I would work with them a hundred more times if I could! Mom (Melissa) even suggested the location, and it was absolutely perfect. She joked about me hiring her to be my location scout for future shoots-- I seriously think I should take her up on the offer!
