From the moment I first I met Sara and Bergen last October, I knew their wedding would be incredible. First of all, this is a gorgeous couple. They are absolutely radiant with their movie-star smiles, and classic good looks. But their looks are just the tip of the iceberg; below their beautiful exteriors Bergen and Sara are two of the warmest, friendliest, most gregarious people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Even if you have only spent 5 minutes with them, they make you feel like you have known them your whole life (and you will wish that you had!) Their 200+ person wedding guest list is a testament to how incredible these people are, and how dearly they are loved by so many.
Sara & Bergen said 'I Do' under a custom made and monogramed wooden archway, against the backdrop of a beautiful Red Mountain, in Rossland British Columbia. You would never guess that 200 people were in attendance, because despite the large amount of attendees, the event felt warm, intimate, and full of love.
After the ceremony guests were invited onto RED Mountain Resort's sweeping patio for refreshments, while I was able to sneak off with the 18 person wedding party for portraits. We hopped into a limo bus (where the party began in earnest!) and shuttled to charming downtown Rossland. After we wrapped there, we popped by the grounds of Black Jack Ski Club for a more rugged, natural backdrop. I have never laughed so hard with a wedding party, or had so much fun with portraits. This was a fabulous group (if a bit rowdy-- but who can blame them?!)
Back at RED the wedding party mixed and mingled with the guests, enjoyed a delicious dinner, some wonderful speeches, and then some amazing entertainment by Rossland's 'Boomtown Garter Girls'. So many laughs were had, so many wonderful memories made. What an incredible celebration of the union of two fabulous human beings. If the rest of their lives together is half as much fun as their wedding day, I think they will have absolutely nothing to worry about.
