I met with Charlotte & her lovely family in Castlegar's Millennium Park on a perfect early June evening. Charlotte, like me, is a local photographer and she and I agreed to meet up and do a 'photoswap' of each other's families. She shot mine, I shot hers. It was the perfect arrangement! Not only did she take some absolutely gorgeous photos of my little family, but I got to work with hers as well... and I think we can all agree that these 3 human beings are absolutely lovely! What a treat to do a mini session with them in this gorgeous field of wild lupines.
Tegan and Blair are getting married this summer on Tegan's parent's amazing property on the outskirts of Creston, BC. Tegan thought (and rightly so!) that doing their Engagement Session on the property as well would be wise as it would give me a chance to get familiarized with the land and see how things are laid out.
The weather was absolutely perfect for their laid-back, picnic engagement session. We walked the parameter of the property together, taking photos and getting to know each other. I don't think I have ever laughed as much in one session as I did during my hour with these two! Despite claiming to be novices and feel awkward in front of the camera, these two were full of such genuine happiness and ease with each other that it was almost impossible for me to take a bad photo. And if all of that wasn't a treat enough-- Tegan's lovely Mom cooked us all dinner after we were done. I have the best clients!
These two have completely stolen my heart. I am so looking forward to their August wedding!
